Info - Futurama Festival 2022

Liverpool Information

Liverpool is one of the most popular destinations in the UK. It’s a warm and friendly city with plenty of moderately priced hotels in and around the centre. There’s plenty to do and many reasonably priced eating and drinking places. In 2015 , it was designated as an UNESCO City of Music and not just because of that slightly famous beat combo from the 60’s! Liverpool, particularly in the early to mid 1980’s enjoyed considerable national and international success with the likes of Echo and the Bunnymen, Teardrop Explodes, OMD, Wah! Heat, Pink Military, Icicle Works, Dead Or Alive, Frankie Goes To Hollywood and a Flock of Seagulls many of whom played the Futuramas!

There’s plenty of help planning your visit:

Festival Information

The Futurama takes place over the Easter weekend of the 3rd and 4th of April 2021. It is spread across 3 venues in close proximity which are all either interlinked or a couple of minutes’ walk away. Wristbands will be valid in all venues. Invisible Wind Factory is the main venue and has two gig spaces, the main auditorium and the substation downstairs. Linked to the Wind Factory is the Make Art Centre which you can get to through a walk away on the right-hand side of the venue while on the left is Ten Streets Social where the AF Gang will be hosting the up and coming bands stage.

There are plenty of bars and toilets in the venues and the fact you are undercover in all venues means you don’t have to worry about the weather but if you do get hot there is a great outdoor space at the Wind Factory and also in Make. The venue opens at 2pm every day and closes at midnight. The first bands will be on at 3 pm.

Invisible Wind factory is located on Liverpool’s historic North docks close to the Titanic Hotel Address 3 Regent Road Liverpool L3 7DS. It is easy to get to by car or taxi and is a 10 – 15 minute taxi ride from the city centre depending on traffic. Bus and trains link:

If you fancy a walk it’s about a 2 mile to the city centre but book a taxi is our advice as bus and train links are limited especially late at night

Wristband and Lost Property

Your wristband gives you access to all venues at the festival. If your wristband is damaged or broken, please contact the ticket box at the venue immediately. You can move freely between the different venues with your wristband and you can use it as a pass out to go back to the hotel or the city centre during the day but please ensure you are back for 7pm as we cannot guarantee re-entry after then.

Festival site closed at night while we clean and restock for the next day. If you have lost property or have other questions please contact the information box near the front door of the Invisible Wind Factory.

Ticket sale and shopping at the Futurama Festival

When you buy a ticket, we get to know your name, phone number, address and e-mail address. We appreciate that info because it tells us something about where in the world our audience is from. Furthermore, we can send you practical information, updates and, most importantly, your ticket to the Futurama Festival. When you buy stuff at the festival, be it beer or merchandise, we don’t record any personal data. We’ve heard one critical voice say that we could in fact trace everybody personally based on their purchases. Let’s be straight about this: We can’t and most importantly, we won’t! At Futurama you’re free. We simply make it possible for you to pay for stuff you’d like to buy, just like shops do.

When you sign up for our newsletter, you let us send you stuff about the Futurama Festival. We do this because you’ve shown an interest in our event. When you contact us at [email protected], your e-mails will be saved in our inbox until you get the answers you need. Thereafter, we’ll make sure that our e-mail thread will be deleted within 6 months after the festival.

Images, video and audio recordings

When we shoot photos and video at the festival, you might end up being in the recordings. If you’re the focal point of the content, we will always ask your approval to use the content in any commercial context. You may also be in some photos alongside a lot of other happy festival-goers. When that happens we’re not able to ask for everybody’s approval. If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected]
